This project located in the Ural Mountain Range of Siberia Russia consists of eight sections of 10 kV, 50 Hz medium voltage switchgear. Automation is provided by Siemens 400H Series redundant processors and 300 Series remote Profibus I/O with redundant I/O interface hardware. The programming language is STEP 7.

The HMI is a Siemens Model 170B, 5.7" color touch screen that retrieves data from the redundant GMS PLC using Siemens MPI communication protocol. Automated control functionality includes generator demand control and load shedding.

The system controls up to four Caterpillar 3516B generator sets, each rated at 2,000 kW standby at 1500 RPM. The generator control sections contain Woodward DSLC engine controllers for synchronizing and loading the generators.
